Charlie Warren

PhD Student, TPCB

Charlie is a second-year graduate student in the Tri-Institutional Program in Chemical Biology (TPCB). He received his BS in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill while working in the lab of Dr. Matthew Redinbo. Here, he gained an interest in mass spectrometery-based proteomics for identifying enzymes in the human gut microbiome. Additionally, he interned at Halda Therapeutics and the Tri-I Chemical Biology Summer Program (ChBSP) where he became passionate about small-molecule drug discovery and chemical biology research. Charlie’s project focuses on using high-throughput proteomics to profile the protein targets of bioactive peptides using a timsTOF Pro 2 mass spectrometer.
